Crack Filling
KM Striping offers two types of Crack Filling methods. Hot Pour Crack Sealing & Cold Pour Crack Sealing. Our experts can help with determining the best method for you. Both methods yield results. Below is information on both methods of crack sealing.
Hot Rubberized Crack Sealing
Hot Pour Crack Filling involves heated up blocks of rubberized asphalt. Hot pour crack filling is generally applied on roads and highways. Parking Lots and Driveways can still benefit from Hot pour crack sealing. Hot pour offers the advantage of quick set times (10 minutes or less). Once the hot pour material cools you can drive on it.
Cold Pour Crack Sealing
Cold Applied Crack Filling provides an efficient, economical, and effective approach to filling and sealing cracks in asphalt pavement. Cold applied crack filling is typically applied on parking lots and driveways but can also provide effective results on roads and streets. Cold Applied Crack Fillers typically consist of a clay-filled, polymer-modified asphalt emulsion liquid that flows into cracks at ambient temperatures.
